Blog 12 Midsummer madness

Now in Sweden, it is Midsummers Day and, of course, everything is closed! We had the same problem on the way up and means we go onto emergency rations (as in tins) as the shops, supermarkets and petrol stations are all closed for the holidays. The Swedes call it Red Day....

Beautiful Lichen

Tuesday 24 June
4,100 miles travelled
Writing this from an empty campsite at a nature reserve at a place called Varberg, way down in the South of Sweden. Saw the most amazing sunset last night after watching a murmuration of starlings settling for the night. A magical spot.
Only a few more days before we get back on the Ferry at Esjberg and have to travel across Denmark which we will probably start tomorrow. Weather picked up considerably and we are now back in tshirts and shorts thank goodness!
