The rest of the week flew by. There are about 50 gorges in the White Mountains and we chose to walk the Imbros Gorge, smaller, shorter and not as crowded as the more famous Samaria Gorge. Hot, humid, easy walking, beautiful in places and with ticket inspectors at either end and another in the middle!! All for the princely sum of 2€.....
Visited Hora Sfakion, a pretty town on our way to Loutro where we wanted to visit a goat farm run by an Irish lady married to a Cretan and which had been highly recommended by friends. Loutro can only be reached by boat or by walking from Sfakion - again the weather has been hot and sunny and it was a lovely day.
Swam every day, sometimes twice, the sea was beautifully warm but sadly not very clear in most places. But hey, who cares, it was just great to be able to swim.....
Loutro.....
Those goats get everywhere.....
Also visited Phaistos, a magnificent Minoan ruin - got to get some culture in!
