Blog 7- Goodbye ship, Hello Tromso

Squashed everything back into the suitcase, said goodbye to some new friends and our lovely Captain Nazarov and flew down to Tromso on the Northwest corner of Norway.
Mooched around town, watched the Hurtigruten ship come in and disgorge a fair few tourists for a quick visit to the souvenir shops it seems. Wandered into the Arctic Cathedral which is a famous landmark here, built in 1965 and features a monumental stained glass window-gorgeous. The building itself is said to reflect Northern Norwegian nature, culture and faith.
Had a beer each in the oldest pub in Tromso with 2 bags of crisps- £20!!!!!!!

We have been incredibly lucky with the weather, no fog and only a few drops of rain on our last landing. Bitterly cold near the pack ice and glaciers, also when trekking across the tundra but we have all the kit and have thoroughly enjoyed it all. Heard there has been a heat wave in the UK but to be honest I am happier here...... Have had the very best trip, exhausting, but we are both very happy and glad to have been able to come here.
