Blog 5-Beaune to Dijon and back to The Brenne

Had some wonderful weather finally and spent yesterday doing a mammoth (for us) 45k bike ride through villages and vineyards. Doug tells me they are all famous Domaine names and they make first class (which in my book equals very expensive) wines but I just loved meandering slowly through the vines, watching workers doing whatever it is they do with all that strange-looking vineyard machinery! Am slowly learning more about the wine I am drinking, after all these years it's starting to make sense (although often I don't make much sense after drinking it if you know what I mean?)

Travelled back up to The Brenne National Park for a few days as Doug had such a wet time when we were there a couple of weeks ago and he was trying to watch birds.
The weather holds as we wind our way back towards Roscoff....

Some birdie photos taken here, think I am turning into a bit of a birder, although I like to photograph them not watch through binoculars!!!
