After driving across Jutland in Denmark we caught another ferry to Gothenburg in Sweden and started to drive "Up North". Stopped a couple of nights in a place called Trollhattan (aka Trolleyhood, the Swedish equivalent of Hollywood-Melancholia, for those in the know, was made here) It rained - so we left! Also gave the Saab Museum a miss and had to drag Doug away from the Olidan Power Station - lucky for me the 30 minute tours didn't start until next month! Weather improving and now sitting by an ice-cold but clear lake, sun streaming in the window, looking at a meadow on my left full of wild flowers and in the far distance a solitary red wooden house. Still a bit nippy to be sitting outside but have managed a BBQ every evening so far. Haven't tried lake swimming yet!!
Doug became a Granddad again yesterday, our congratulations to Rachel and Alistair on arrival of 7lb 6oz unnamed (as yet) baby boy. Off to find something appropriately Swedish to send him, probably a squashy, furry moose!
First of many beautiful lakes
Typical (really nice) house
