Part 2 - Doug's Special Treat

Well, we were all packed to leave this morning on the small launch taking us over to St Mary's and the Scillonian when we got the call saying all sailings and flights cancelled! 51mph winds to be precise at St Mary's.........
So we unpacked, hit the Island store, bought up food and wine, donned the waterproofs and headed out for a walk around one side of the island. Yes, unusual for me but desperate women do desperate things!! Tomorrow it's the turn of the other side, probably in the rain again. Can't complain though we have had a brilliant run of sunshine for 5 days and enjoyed our stay here so much.
Looks like we will get off on Wednesday, lets hope the wine lasts.....



Finally the weather cleared and today (Wednesday) we are leaving. Have had a great visit and will definitely come back again, maybe St Agnes next time.....
