Norfolk January 2012

Arrived yesterday for a few days stay at the White Horse in Blakeney - a trip we do every January. Strangely, this year the weather seems to be positively balmy compared with previous years, walked along Blakeney Point and glowed instead of shivered the whole way!!!!! Took a picnic lunch and watched baby seals floundering up and down the beach, watching out for Snow Buntings ( a Doug favourite which didn't appear....)

Baby seals, in all shapes and sizes, soooo cute

View towards Blakeney over the marshes

A lonesome gull

Tomorrow off for some "serious" birding (for Doug anyway....)

Spent the next few days wandering through the marshes and along wide, cold, empty beaches - just love it! Evenings spent eating delicious food and drinking excellent wine and sleeping in the softest bed ever....... What more could a girl want?

Oh that looks cold.....

PS He finally found his Snow Buntings which made him very happy! Until next year.....
