26th September-3rd October 2011
Just spent a glorious week on Paxos, one of the Ionian islands. It really is the island of the olives, very peaceful, not many other visitors at this tail end of their season, sunny every day, warm seas - as I said - glorious. Stayed in a small s/c cottage at the top of a killer hill. Walked part of every day, had swims off different beaches every day and ate in one of the 4 tavernas every night; what more could you ask for in a holiday eh?
Managed to get stung by a jellyfish on day 2 which is still itching one week later and Ted had a narrow escape from next doors dog who took a fancy to him and took him walkabout (until I rescued him and immediately scrubbed him in bluebell smelling soap...) Some photos below. Home now until 20th October then its off to Madagascar - how lucky am I??
