Off to Mongolia this coming Saturday (14 March) - really looking forward to staying with Kazakh nomads and their amazing golden eagles. Photography is going to be very high on my list of "to do". Flying to Ullanbataar via Moscow, quick stop then flying westward to the mountains of Bayan-Ulgii, pretty remote corner of Central Asia. Going to be staying in gers alongside some of Mongolias best eagle hunters and their families, finishing up with going to the Nauryz Festival which celebrates the return of spring.
Been warned that temperatures will be (at their highest) -4c during the day and down to -20c at night
